Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. Her career path has taken her all over the world, from Broadway to European concerts and festivals and even to her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine has been born Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta currently, she is from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician by singing and playing at the local church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on Atlanta's R&B culture. The band was hired as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as Choral Director of Dreamgirls the stage show of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of America during the four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
